OPPO K14 Plus Launched in India at ₹29,999 With 8,000mAh Battery: Price, Specs and Sale Date

OPPO has expanded its K-series smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OPPO K14 Plus, a new mid-range 5G smartphone focused heavily on battery life, display performance and durability.

Launched in India on September 29, 2026, the K14 Plus starts at ₹29,999 and features an unusually large 8,000mAh battery, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX processor and a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation.

The smartphone will go on sale beginning October 8, with three RAM and storage configurations available. OPPO is also offering a ₹4,000 instant bank discount on the first sale day, potentially reducing the effective starting price to ₹25,999 for eligible buyers.

OPPO K14 Plus Price in India

OPPO has launched the K14 Plus in three configurations.

VariantOfficial PriceEffective Price With ₹4,000 Launch Discount*
6GB + 128GB₹29,999₹25,999
8GB + 128GB₹32,999₹28,999
8GB + 256GB₹35,999₹31,999

The ₹4,000 reduction is an instant bank discount for eligible transactions on the first sale day, rather than a permanent reduction in the phone’s listed price. A six-month no-cost EMI option is also being offered.

The K14 Plus will be available in two colours: Solar Orange and Star White.

When Does the OPPO K14 Plus Go on Sale?

The first sale is scheduled for October 8, 2026.

Customers will be able to purchase the smartphone through Flipkart and OPPO’s online store.

That puts the launch directly into India’s festive shopping period, when smartphone brands traditionally compete aggressively on pricing, bank discounts and exchange offers.

Anyone considering the launch-day offer should distinguish between the phone’s official retail price and the lower effective price available after an eligible bank discount.

Massive 8,000mAh Battery Is the Main Attraction

The headline specification of the OPPO K14 Plus is its 8,000mAh battery.

That is considerably larger than the battery capacity traditionally found in mainstream smartphones and appears to be central to OPPO’s positioning of the device.

The battery supports 45W wired charging, along with 10W reverse wired charging, allowing compatible accessories or devices to draw power from the phone.

The device also supports bypass charging, which can reduce the amount of power routed through the battery during demanding tasks such as gaming while the device is plugged in.

For users who frequently watch videos, play games, navigate using GPS or spend long periods away from a charger, battery capacity could therefore be one of the K14 Plus’s most noticeable features.

144Hz AMOLED Display

OPPO has paired the large battery with a 1.5K AMOLED display.

The screen measures approximately 6.78 inches and can reach a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, providing smoother motion during compatible games, scrolling and animations.

The display has a resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels and is claimed to reach as much as 3,600 nits peak brightness under specific conditions.

It also supports high-frequency PWM dimming.

The combination positions the K14 Plus as a device aimed partly at users who consume a significant amount of video and gaming content on their phones.

MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX Powers the Phone

Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX chipset.

The processor is manufactured using a 4nm process and includes an octa-core CPU with clock speeds reaching 2.5GHz, paired with Mali-G615 graphics.

OPPO is offering up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The three available configurations are:

6GB RAM + 128GB storage

8GB RAM + 128GB storage

8GB RAM + 256GB storage

The top variant therefore provides twice the internal storage of the two lower-priced models.

Large Vapour Chamber Targets Gaming Heat

A powerful processor and high-refresh-rate screen can generate significant heat during prolonged gaming.

To address this, the K14 Plus includes a 5,000mm² vapour chamber cooling system.

The cooling system is designed to spread heat across a larger surface area instead of allowing it to remain concentrated around the processor.

That does not guarantee identical performance under every workload, but better thermal management can help a smartphone sustain performance during longer gaming or other processor-intensive sessions.

OPPO says its internal testing has shown performance improvements from the Dimensity platform, although such manufacturer benchmark claims should be treated as laboratory results rather than guarantees of everyday performance.

50MP Camera With OIS

On the back, the K14 Plus features a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

The main camera has an f/1.8 aperture and supports 4K video recording. A secondary monochrome/depth camera assists with portrait effects.

A 16-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

OIS is particularly useful because it physically compensates for small movements of the phone while capturing an image or video.

The phone also includes software-based photography tools such as AI Eraser, AI Recompose and AI Portrait features.

Actual camera quality, however, depends on more than megapixel count. Sensor performance, image processing, lighting conditions and software optimisation can all affect the final result.

OPPO Is Also Pushing AI Features

Like many smartphones arriving in 2026, the K14 Plus includes several AI features integrated into its software.

These include tools designed for photo editing, writing, translation and image enhancement.

OPPO also lists AI-assisted connectivity and call-management features as part of the device’s software package.

AI-based photo editing is becoming increasingly common across mid-range smartphones, meaning manufacturers are now competing not only on camera hardware but also on what users can do with images after they have been captured.

IP69K Protection Makes Durability a Major Selling Point

Battery capacity is not the only unusual specification.

The OPPO K14 Plus carries an IP69K rating, alongside additional water- and dust-resistance claims for its protected design.

IP69K is associated with resistance against high-pressure and high-temperature water jets under specified test conditions.

The phone also uses an aluminium frame, while OPPO markets its structural design around increased resistance to everyday physical damage.

This does not mean the smartphone is indestructible.

Water and impact resistance depend on test conditions, and protection can deteriorate with wear or physical damage over time.

Still, durability appears to be one of the major areas OPPO is using to differentiate the K14 Plus.

How Big and Heavy Is It?

Fitting an 8,000mAh battery inside a smartphone inevitably raises questions about size and weight.

The K14 Plus measures approximately 8.4mm thick and weighs around 207 grams.

That makes the large battery particularly notable because manufacturers traditionally have to balance battery capacity against thickness and weight.

The handset also includes an in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers.

Software and Long-Term Smoothness Claims

The K14 Plus ships with ColorOS 16.

OPPO has integrated its Trinity Engine, which is designed to manage system resources and maintain performance as the device ages.

The company says the 256GB model has passed its internal smoothness testing corresponding to six years of use, while 128GB models have received a five-year smoothness certification.

That should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every individual phone will perform identically for six years.

It is a manufacturer testing claim intended to indicate how the software and storage system behave under simulated ageing conditions.

₹25,999 or ₹29,999 — What Is the Real Price?

This distinction is worth explaining because shoppers may see both prices online.

The official starting price is ₹29,999.

The ₹25,999 figure is an effective launch price after applying the ₹4,000 eligible bank discount offered for the first sale day.

Therefore, headlines describing the phone simply as a ₹25,999 device can leave out an important condition.

A buyer who cannot use the eligible bank offer should not assume the lower amount automatically applies.

The same distinction applies to the other configurations.

Why the 8,000mAh Battery Matters

Smartphone manufacturers have traditionally faced a difficult trade-off.

Consumers want larger batteries, but increasing capacity can make a phone thicker and heavier.

Newer battery technologies and internal design improvements have allowed manufacturers to push capacities much higher while keeping devices within conventional smartphone dimensions.

The K14 Plus is another example of that shift.

An 8,000mAh battery in a roughly 207g smartphone shows how rapidly battery capacity is becoming a competitive specification in India’s mid-range smartphone market.

The bigger question is how that capacity translates into real-world screen time, gaming endurance and battery health.

Those questions will require independent testing rather than manufacturer specifications alone.

What Buyers Should Check Before the October 8 Sale

The K14 Plus offers an unusual combination on paper: an 8,000mAh battery, 144Hz AMOLED display, OIS-equipped 50MP camera, high ingress-protection rating and a mid-range Dimensity processor.

But specification sheets do not tell the entire story.

Potential buyers may want to watch independent testing of battery endurance, camera performance, sustained gaming performance, thermal management and charging time once retail units become widely available.

The ₹4,000 launch discount conditions are also worth checking before ordering because the effective price depends on eligibility.

With the first sale scheduled for October 8, the K14 Plus is entering India’s smartphone market just as festive-season competition intensifies.

For now, its clearest differentiator is straightforward: OPPO has placed an exceptionally large 8,000mAh battery inside a mainstream mid-range 5G smartphone starting at ₹29,999.
